Weeknotes 9
Not much to write about this week. It’s been a quiet one and I don’t seem to have done much!
Web Design and Development
I’ve continued working on the redesign of CVW Web Design and the new site is almost completed on the staging server. I need to go through a number of pre-launch checks and tweak a few things but I should be ready to make it live in a week or so.
I’ve been working on the new site for Billingshurst and Horsham Chamber of Commerce and that site is looking much better now that there are more Events. The site has attracted some new members via the Join Us page so things are starting to work.
Business Finances
My new accountant has done a very thorough job on the year’s accounts. She found a mistake in the previous accounts and has amended my FreeAgent account so that next year’s accounts will be easier to do. All accounts have been submitted and my company’s tax liability has been calculated. I need to pay this by 1st November.
My new accountant has given me more information and I feel like I’m more on top of things. Not that I was behind previously. My accounts have always been submitted ahead of time but I do feel that I know a bit more now.
Running
I’ve been trying to run a few faster miles in the last week. I want to run a fast (by my standards) 10K race at the end of the month so I’m trying to get used to running at/near 8.00 minutes/mile pace. I ran at Horsham parkrun (5 km) at the weekend and it was my best time on the winter course, 23:29. That’s where I want to be so I need to extend that to 10K now.
Other Stuff
My coworking pals and I will be taking part in the Sleep Easy 2018 event (sleeping out and fundraising) this coming Friday and I’m a bit nervous about it. I feel underprepared and not entirely sure what I need. Sleeping bags, mat, cardboard boxes, rain, camping chair and many layers are what I know so far. I’ll report back next time!
